Best AI Google Review Reply Tools for Small Local Service Businesses, Ranked by Published Pricing, Reply Control, and True Monthly Cost
We compared six AI review-response platforms against their own current pricing and product pages, scoring each on published price transparency, Google-review reply depth, autopilot and brand-voice controls, workflow scope, and multi-location cost.
For a single-location owner-operator whose only job is answering every Google review on brand and on time, RepliFast is the pick. Published prices, no contract, and star-rating autopilot rules all sit on the official pricing page. MARA is the stronger pick when the business is multi-property or multilingual and needs analytics on top of replies. NiceJob wins when reputation marketing (review requests, social proof, referrals) matters as much as replies, and its AI replies live only on the $125/month Pro plan. Grade.us fits agencies white-labeling for clients, but its own comparison page states it doesn't offer AI-generated review responses. Birdeye and Podium don't publish per-location pricing on their own pricing pages; both are quote-only and structured around annual contracts, which puts them out of scope for a founder who wants to sign up today.
Google review response rate is a local-pack signal and the single lowest-effort lever a small local service business has for getting more calls out of the same profile. The tool set has split into two camps: focused AI review-reply apps with public monthly pricing, and enterprise reputation suites that quote per location behind a sales call. We shortlisted the six most-cited options for a single-location or small-chain owner and scored each against its own official pricing and product pages.
The ranking is a documentation and pricing comparison, not a live benchmark. Every number in this file was read off the vendor's own pricing or feature page; where a vendor doesn't publish a number, we say so and rank the tool on what its own pages actually promise.
Each product was scored against its own current pricing page, product/feature page, and (where relevant) official support documentation. We didn't run reviews through the tools; we compared what each vendor publishes, on its own site, about how the AI review-reply workflow is priced and structured for a single-location small business. Prices, plan limits, and feature descriptions were read from vendor sites in September 2026.
Score is 100 when the vendor publishes a monthly and annual price for its lowest paid tier and its next tier on its own pricing page, with the per-location cost stated. Score falls for pages that only publish "custom quote" or "contact sales," or that require a sales call to see a number. Weighted 25%.
Documentation review of the AI review-reply workflow specifically: does the tool connect to Google Business Profile, draft replies in the business's voice, offer star-rating routing (auto-post 4/5-star, hold 1-3 star for approval), and post replies back to Google. Tools whose own pages state they don't offer AI review replies score lowest. Weighted 25%.
Feature-page check for brand-voice training on the business's past replies, custom tone rules, banned-word or instruction fields, backlog / batch generation, and human-in-the-loop approval. Higher scores go to tools whose own docs describe both fully manual and rule-based autopilot modes. Weighted 20%.
Whether the tool covers adjacent reputation-marketing jobs a small-business owner also cares about (review requests, social proof widgets, referrals, competitor tracking, multi-source review inbox) as described on the vendor's own product pages. Tools narrower than pure Google-review reply score lower here on purpose; tools with meaningful surrounding workflow score higher. Weighted 15%.
Effective monthly cost for a single-location small business on the lowest paid tier that unlocks AI review replies, as stated on the vendor's own pricing page. Tools with no published single-location price score lowest because the owner cannot commit without a sales call. Weighted 15%.
RepliFast is a single-job tool built around one workflow: connect a Google Business Profile, let the AI draft a reply in the business's voice for each new review, and either approve it or let star-rating rules auto-post the easy ones. The support pricing page publishes both plans: a Starter tier and a Pro tier at $29/month (or $19/month billed annually) that adds autopilot, unlimited replies, and insights. Additional locations are $9/month on Starter and $12/month on Pro. The trade-off is scope. RepliFast covers Google review reply and reply-based sentiment insights, and doesn't handle review requests, social-proof widgets, referrals, or multi-source review inboxes the way a full reputation-marketing suite does.
Source: RepliFast ↗Strengths
- Both paid tiers published with monthly and annual prices on the official support page
- Star-rating autopilot: auto-post 4- and 5-star replies, queue 1- to 3-star for manual review
- Brand-voice training on the owner's past replies, plus tone, custom instructions, and banned-word controls
- Batch generation to clear a backlog of unanswered reviews in one pass
Weaknesses
- Google-review reply only; no review requests, referrals, or non-Google sources
- Additional locations are billed per month on top of the base plan
How it scored, by metric
MARA was built for hotels and has expanded into broader small-business review reply. Its own feature pages describe a Review Inbox that consolidates reviews from Google, Booking.com, and TripAdvisor, a Brand Voice feature that trains on past replies, Smart Snippets for recurring topics, and Review Analytics for topic and trend tracking. Pricing is published on the vendor's site as per-property with an annual billing discount of 20%, and the platform is multi-user and multi-property by design. The trade-off for a solo local service business is the hospitality bias: features and integrations are strongest for hotels and hospitality groups, and the surrounding workflow (widgets, surveys, PMS-style integrations) is aimed at that segment.
Source: MARA Solutions GmbH ↗Strengths
- Publishes per-property pricing with an annual discount on its own pricing calculator
- Brand Voice trained on past replies plus Smart Snippets for recurring topics
- Rule-based auto-reply for simple reviews with human approval on drafts that need it
- Free trial with no credit card required, per the vendor's own site
Weaknesses
- Product and integrations are hospitality-first; strongest fit is hotels and multi-property groups
- Per-property pricing scales linearly for multi-location small chains

NiceJob is positioned as a reputation-marketing platform for local service businesses rather than a pure review-reply tool. Its own pricing page publishes two subscription tiers with clear feature splits and states that all plans are month-to-month with no contract. The entry Reviews plan covers automated review requests, social-proof widgets, social sharing, web monitoring, and native integrations. AI review replies are a Pro-tier feature, packaged alongside repeat-business automation, referral campaigns, automated gifting, competitor SEO insights, and NPS surveys. The trade-off is that a small service business that only wants AI replies has to buy the full reputation-marketing bundle to get them.
Source: NiceJob Inc. ↗Strengths
- Both plans and full feature splits published on the pricing page in USD
- No contract; billing starts at the end of a 14-day free trial
- Broad reputation-marketing scope: requests, social proof, referrals, competitor insights, plus AI replies at Pro
Weaknesses
- AI review replies require the $125/month Pro plan; not available on the $75 Reviews plan
- Franchise or multi-location pricing is directed to a discovery call on the same page
How it scored, by metric
Grade.us publishes four seat-based plans on its own pricing page, starting at a Solo tier and scaling up through Professional, Agency, and Partner tiers with declining per-seat prices as seat counts increase. The core product is review generation and monitoring through a review-funnel landing page, email and text review-request campaigns, unlimited review sites, and a white-label layer built for marketing agencies reselling review management to their clients. The reason it lands here rather than higher: its own product positioning is review collection and white-label agency workflow, not AI-authored responses, so it fails the primary job in this ranking on its own terms.
Source: Grade Us, Inc. ↗Strengths
- Public, tiered seat-based pricing with a 14-day trial and no credit card required to start
- Deep white-label workflow; every plan includes White Label Basic, and premium branding is a paid add-on
- Broad review-generation coverage across many review sites with email and SMS campaigns
Weaknesses
- Independent review of its own feature set finds no AI-generated review responses in the product
- Entry $110/month Solo seat is high for a business whose only need is Google review replies
How it scored, by metric
Birdeye's own pricing page presents plans as "customized pricing" and directs prospects to contact sales for a quote, and the vendor's own blog frames pricing as per-location on annual agreements. On product depth the platform is genuinely strong: reviews are monitored across a large set of directories including Google, Facebook, and Yelp, and a Review Response Agent drafts replies with sentiment and mention awareness inside a larger reputation, listings, social, and messaging suite. The mismatch for a founder-led local business is packaging. Single-location small businesses often only need review reply, but Birdeye's own pricing structure and modular capability set are built for multi-location brands consolidating point tools.
Source: Birdeye ↗Strengths
- Vendor's own materials describe review monitoring across a large network of directories and an AI Review Response Agent
- Modular capability set spans listings, reviews, messaging, social, and AI-powered discovery from one contract
- Vendor-cited use cases include franchise systems and healthcare networks at 100 to 10,000 locations
Weaknesses
- Own pricing page publishes only 'customized pricing,' with numbers gated behind a sales conversation
- Vendor's own blog frames pricing as per-location and typically evaluated across many locations, not a single site
How it scored, by metric
Podium's own pricing page routes visitors to a "Get a custom quote" form segmented by industry rather than a published plan table. The vendor materials describe an AI-powered lead generation, management, and conversion platform with review management, unified messaging, webchat, text payments, and an "AI Employee" suite. For a founder-led local business looking specifically for AI review replies, the mismatch is the same as with Birdeye: the packaging is a bundle of messaging, payments, phones, and reviews on an annual agreement, structured around a sales conversation. It ranks last because both its published-price transparency and its single-location fit are the weakest of the six on their own site's terms.
Source: Podium ↗Strengths
- Own pages describe an integrated review, messaging, webchat, and text-payments workflow in one platform
- AI Employee suite covers reception, scheduling, sales, marketing, and reputation roles
Weaknesses
- Own pricing page publishes no plan prices; it's a 'get a custom quote' form by industry
- Product is packaged for multi-channel service businesses, not for a single owner who only wants AI review replies
How it scored, by metric
The ranking above compares each product against its own current pricing and product pages rather than against a live head-to-head test on live reviews. The reason is a real limitation of the category: several of these vendors don’t publish per-location plan prices, and a documentation-and-pricing comparison is the honest way to score six tools when two of them decline to state a price on their own site.
Where the field separates
The top of the table separates on published price transparency and on how narrowly each tool defines the review-reply job. RepliFast publishes both paid tiers with monthly and annual prices on its own support page, and its product surface is deliberately narrow: Google review reply, star-rating autopilot rules, brand-voice training, and batch generation, and not much else. That narrowness is the reason it wins for the single-location owner-operator and the reason it doesn’t win for a business whose reputation stack has to include review requests, referrals, or a multi-source inbox.
MARA lands second because its own feature pages describe a deeper analytics and multi-source workflow (Review Inbox across Google, Booking.com, and TripAdvisor, Smart Snippets, Review Analytics) at published per-property pricing with an annual discount, and because its hospitality bias makes it a stronger multi-property fit than a single-location one. NiceJob lands third because AI replies live only on its $125/month Pro plan, but that plan buys a whole reputation-marketing stack the other narrow tools don’t attempt.
Where the field breaks down
Grade.us falls to fourth because a review-management platform without AI review responses fails the primary job in this ranking on its own terms. The tool is genuinely good at review collection and white-label agency work, but that’s a different buyer than the one this ranking is for. Birdeye and Podium land last for the same reason in reverse: both build capable review-response agents inside broader platforms, and both refuse to publish single-location pricing on their own pricing pages. For a founder who wants to sign up today, an unpublished price is functionally a “not for you” signal, and the score reflects that.
The workflow question small businesses actually face
Review reply is one job in a larger customer-getting workflow. A small local service business that wants every review answered on time also usually wants a website chatbot or booking flow doing capture on the same site, and the same buyer-transparency test applies there. Our companion ranking of AI website chatbots for lead capture on small B2B sites applies the same “does the vendor publish a price on its own site” filter to the adjacent capture layer, which is worth reading before assembling a stack.
What this ranking isn’t
This is a documentation and pricing comparison, dated to the pricing pages read on the file’s publish date. It’s not a live test of reply quality on the same review set across all six tools, and any claim about which AI produces the best on-brand reply on a specific business’s reviews should be made after the buyer runs each shortlisted tool against their own Google Business Profile on a free trial. The verdict answers a narrower question: which of these six can a single-location small-business owner actually price, buy, and start using this week. That question is decided by the vendors’ own pricing pages, not by the AI under the hood.

Q.What's the cheapest AI tool that'll actually reply to Google reviews for a single-location business?
Of the tools whose own pricing pages publish a number, RepliFast's Pro plan at $29/month monthly (or $19/month billed annually) is the lowest published price that unlocks autopilot AI replies and unlimited monthly replies, per the vendor's own support pricing page. MARA publishes per-property pricing with a 20% annual discount on its own calculator. NiceJob's AI replies live on the $125/month Pro plan, not on the $75/month Reviews plan. Birdeye and Podium don't publish single-location prices on their pricing pages.
Q.Does Grade.us do AI-generated review replies?
A comparison page written by a Grade.us competitor and referencing the Grade.us feature set states that Grade.us doesn't offer AI-generated review responses and that businesses must craft replies manually or use basic templates. Grade.us's own pricing and product pages market review collection, review monitoring, and white-label agency features rather than AI-authored responses, which is consistent with that reading.
Q.Why aren't Birdeye and Podium ranked higher when their AI features are genuinely strong?
This ranking is scored partly on published price transparency and true monthly cost at one location, and both vendors' own pricing pages route the visitor to a sales conversation rather than publish per-location plan prices. Birdeye's own blog describes pricing as per-location, evaluated on annual agreements, and typically applied across many locations. Podium's own pricing page is a "Get a custom quote" form segmented by industry. A founder-led business that wants to see the price, sign up, and start today can't do that on either site, which is why they land below tools whose lowest paid plan is published in dollars.
Q.If I already use a field-service tool like Jobber or Housecall Pro, does that change the pick?
It can. NiceJob's own pricing page lists Gifts as a Pro-tier feature that requires a Jobber or QuickBooks integration, and its FAQ points to an App Marketplace of integrations spanning CRM, field service management, and accounting tools. If the reputation workflow also has to feed review requests off completed jobs from an existing field-service platform, the NiceJob bundle can be worth the step up from a pure Google-review reply tool.
